I'm a girl that loves shoes. My closet is overflowing with them, literally. I'm at the point where I need to purge but it's so hard to part with any particular pair! There are my go-to favorites, the only-where-on-special-occasions, cowboy boots, flip flops, flats... how can I pick between them? What's your favorite pair of shoes in your closet??

I think the art of collage gets a bad rap sometimes. We think collage.. we think school project. Well, Tenika Morrison has sure taken that idea and flipped it on its head! Her Etsy shop, Velvet Morning, is filled with beautiful mixed media collages featuring vintage portraiture. Elegant, classy, and totally shabby chic!

Tuesday's Travels: Delaware

Welcome to Delaware.. the very first of the United States of America! Let's get right to the finds, shall we?

First up we have two completely different shops from the same talented lady.. Samantha Bird runs both MissesBird and inbloomfinds, a jewelry shop, and a vintage decor shop, respectively.

Beautiful, elegant, and sometimes colorful jewelry can be found here! She also does a few personalized items, like those thick ring bands engraved with a favorite quote or song lyric.

Her vintage shop, inbloomfinds, is filled with gorgeous vintage home decor finds, as well as a few spruced up, upcycled items. I just love the addition of the bold number "3" to the metal water pitcher!

Psst.. Newbie Alert! I came across BecksImagery when searching for artists from Delaware, and the adorable baby-toes-starfish photo really caught my eye. That is in fact the technical title of the print. Okay, not really. But I'm always up for featuring an Etsy newbie and trying to send a few sales their way.. hope it works!

Birds are amazing little creatures, aren't they? I love watching them in the backyard and listening to them in the morning. Some bird calls in particular remind me of childhood visiting my grandparents or of sleeping in late in the summertime.

I've also got birds on the mind because my dear friend Anna, along with her sister Mary and their mother Carol are opening a handmade and consignment shop in a few short weeks! The name of the store: Little Bird. The place is going to be absolutely brimming with handmade and crafty inspiration. I can't wait to share the store with you guys once it's finally open! Tuesday's Travels: Connecticut

Today we're heading up to Connecticut! It's the first state in the Northeast that we've featured on our journey across the USA.. let's see what it has to offer!

First up, some super-amazing primitive style birdhouses from Fred and Lynn of Birdhouse Accents. And these are no ordinary birdhouses.. if I was a bird, I would head straight for these luxury abodes! A mini Airstream camper trailer? Yes, please!

And as long as we're being outdoorsy, let's check out daisychestnut! She has a funny little story in her shop announcement about where her name came from, and she sells some great stuff, too! Personally, I think the herb garden spoon markers would make excellent housewarming gifts.
